Established in 1903, Toberman Neighborhood Center is a non-profit, multi-purpose charity that provides various social service programs to low-income individuals and families, moving them from poverty to self-sufficiency. Their annual “Holiday Cheer Program” provides toys, food and other basic necessities to families in need each holiday season. Other services include gang prevention and intervention, in-depth family counseling and support, Toberman Learning Center, state-licensed childcare, LAUSD alternative high school, emergency assistance, community organizing, and a senior citizens club.
